Service-Oriented Computing, Artificial Intelligence,
and IoT for Smart Applications
SOCAISA explores the convergence of Service-Oriented Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things — addressing the critical challenges of interoperability and scalability in the design of intelligent, interconnected systems.
In the context of SOC and IoT, interoperability remains a fundamental challenge due to the diverse nature of devices, protocols, and service interfaces. AI techniques offer promising solutions by enabling systems to autonomously understand and adapt to varying data formats and communication protocols. Semantic technologies and NLP can standardize service descriptions, enhancing discovery and composition across heterogeneous environments.
As IoT deployments expand exponentially, generating massive data volumes, SOC frameworks must efficiently process and manage them at scale. AI-driven approaches — edge computing, distributed learning, federated architectures — enable decentralized decision-making, reducing latency and enhancing scalability. Predictive analytics and dynamic resource allocation allow SOC architectures to adapt to real-time demand.
Artificial Intelligence is no longer a standalone layer: it acts as the convergence engine that makes SOC and IoT systems adaptive, context-aware, and self-healing. From LLMs as service orchestrators to federated learning across IoT nodes, AI fundamentally reshapes how services are discovered, composed, and governed.
SOCAISA brings together researchers and practitioners from three communities to produce cross-disciplinary insights, establish a shared vocabulary, and define a forward-looking research agenda. The workshop covers the full spectrum — from formal models and middleware design to real-world deployments and benchmarking frameworks.
The workshop welcomes contributions across the following themes, without being limited to them.

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research contributions.
Full papers must not exceed 12 pages (including references and appendices), formatted according to the Springer LNCS template.

Each submission will be reviewed by at least three members of the international program committee, evaluated on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity.
All accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings as part of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series by Springer.
At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present at the workshop. Registration follows the terms of the main ICSOC 2026 conference.
The workshop is organized by researchers from EHTP Casablanca and LAAS-CNRS Toulouse.
